Once you become wise, knowledgeable and know about important issues in this world, you cannot un-know the truth. I believe in creating positive change for a better world and giving back and inspiring and empowering others is my passion. Just like once you understand how your body works, you can dial in and honor what it is asking.
I live and breathe advocacy. Service to others is at the core of all that I am and that I do. By inspiring others and offering the knowledge to become your own health, planet, animal, environment, wellness advocate, through my words, teachings, talks, website, blog, and practice, I want to help create a new earth and bring positive change to people and animals.
I've made a spiritual commitment to give back in the following ways …
Animals Asia Volunteer
Asiatic Black bears , otherwise known as Moon Bears are tortured, living a life of hell in cages smaller than their own body's on Chinese bear bile farms all across Asia. This cruelty is happening now in these modern times. The minute I witnessed this torture, I vowed to help create positive change in this world and you can too! I coordinate a local group of volunteers working to raise awareness, funds and participate in events to help end this unnecessary practice called the West Michigan Animals Asia Volunteer Group and we support all the tireless efforts of the amazing non-profit Animals Asia. Please visit their page for ways that you can help too!
Elephant Advocacy
I protest every circus that comes to town educating circus goers of the suffering inflicted on these wild/exotic animals that are ripped out of their native environment and forced to perform unnatural acts night after night until they are retired into a life of more imprisonment, all so humans can profit. I also write letters, emails and make phone calls to judges, attorneys, animal welfare leaders and other folks in authoritative positions who can help make a change.
In addition to protesting and demoing circuses, I have been following closely of a very abused Asian elephant named Sunder who had been tied up, left in a dark concrete shed, beaten daily and chained for most of his life in Thailand. I participated in letter writing, protesting and sharing his story. Thanks to outrage from around the world, he is finally free. Read more here.
The case that I am currently working on and will until it's resolved is the story of Tania, the elephant isolated on concrete, with a major bone/foot infection who is mentally out of her mind. You can read Tania's story here as well as write to the officials to help encourage TMZ to release her to a sanctuary where she will get the nourishment she needs, vet care and the ability walk on grass instead of concrete. Here is her facebook advocacy page. She needs our help desperately.
