Rutabaga Fries with Creamy Avocado Dip

Ingredients
For the fries:
  • 2 lbs rutabagas
  • ½ cup of grass fed tallow, lard or other saturated fat/oil
  • ½ tsp of oregano
  • ½ tsp chili powder
  • sea salt
For the Creamy Avocado Dip:
  • 1 avocado
  • 1 lemon or lime juice
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • sea salt
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1-2 cloves of fresh garlic
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • ⅓ cup homemade mayo or this healthy pre-made mayo
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 425
  2. Peal and cut rutabagas lengthwise into spears
  3. Grease baking sheet well with the oil
  4. Place rutabaga spears on baking sheet
  5. Bake at 425 for approximately minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy
  6. Remove from oven
  7. Add seasonings and spices
To make the dip
  1. Blend all ingredients in food processor until creamy
  2. Enjoy!
  3. You can store dip in fridge for up to 7 days
