Homemade Real Fruit Snacks
Making this homemade real food fruit snack for you and your children is a great way to get an array of nutrients while eating a fruity snack packed with nutrition from grass fed gelatin, coconut oil, fresh fruit juice and pureed fruits. These gluten-free fruit snacks are the perfect thing to pack as a treat in school lunches, they make a wonderful after-school snack, a breakfast snack and are a great homemade Birthday party and Halloween candy.
Recipe type: Snacks
  1. Note: Be sure to have all ingredients ready and set before beginning as you’ll need to work quickly once you start.
  2. Have your chart cherry juice poured and set aside.
  3. Squeeze fruit for juice. Set aside.
  4. Puree your fruit, in the food processor works quickest and set aside.
  5. Have your maple syrup or raw honey ready to go.
  6. Boil ½ cup water.
  7. Note: these steps need to be followed in this precise order for the recipe to turn out.
  8. Place ½ cup room temp/cool water in a medium sized bowl.
  9. Add ½ cup gelatin powder to room temp/cool water and stir quickly to create a paste.
  10. Quickly add the ½ cup boiling water and stir again briskly. This should form a stir-able liquid.
  11. Add your juice, puree and honey or syrup and mix well.
  12. Note: Have your mold(s) setting on a plate, baking sheet or other hard surface first and have your freezer shelf cleared and ready to set your mold on.
  13. Very quickly pour the mixture in to molds and then carefully move to fridge to allow to firm in the molds in the freezer for about 1 hour.
  14. Take out of freezer and pop out of molds, let set out for a minute and enjoy!
  15. Store in airtight container for up to 2 weeks in the fridge.
