DIY All Natural Liquid Laundry Detergent

Homemade laundry soap
Author:
Serves: 2 gallons
Ingredients
Instructions
  1. Grate your bar of soap into a very large pot using a cheese grater. Soap grates very well, so this is super quick, fun and easy.
  2. Fill a gallon jug with water and pour it into the pot with the soap.
  3. Cook on stove until the grated soap dissolves.
  4. Add Borax and Washing Soda
  5. Bring everything to a boil.
  6. Turn off the heat. Pour in an additional gallon of cold water to cool it down. Mix well with a large spoon.
  7. Pour into desired containers. I like to use ½ gallon glass jars.
  8. Use ½ cup per load, ¾-1 cup for large or heavily soiled loads.
Notes
This detergent is not meant to suds up, which is normal. It will thicken as it cools and it might need to be shaken up if it thickens too much.
