1 Minute Paleo Mayo, Tartar and Horseradish
Recipe type: Condiments, Dips and Sauces
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup *light* olive oil or avocado oil. NOTE: you will want to use a LIGHT oil.
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • ¼ tsp sea salt
  • bunch of herbs (optional)
  1. Add all ingredients to a pint sized mason jar.
  2. Gently set your immersion blender in the jar, making sure the egg is directly under the immersion blender blade.
  3. Turn on HIGH speed and do not move the blender, do NOT pull the blender up or out, just allow it to sit at the bottom of the container, leave it on high for about 15 seconds.
  4. The mayo will emulsify and begin slowly creeping up the sides.
  5. Once most of the mixture has emulsified and looks like mayo, you can begin to move the immersion blender up and down to incorporate any oil that is sitting on the top, all less than one minute.
  6. And that's it!!
  1. Use the paleo mayo and add in diced pickles, onion and lemon juice to taste.
  1. Use the paleo mayo and add grated horseradish root or powder.
